Brigitta Muntendorf presents her last two stage productions, the music theater show MELENCOLIA (Ensemble Modern / Bregenz Festival 2022) and the dance theater ARCHIPEL (MOUVOIR, Asasello Quartet, Norwegian Soloists’, Ensemble Garage / Ruhrtriennale>Theater der Welt/Tanz im August 2021). The lecture will focus on musical concepts of the absence of the body (e.g. through the use of artificial voices/intelligences, virtual choir and soloists), concepts of the shared body and related artistic possibilities, including 3D audio. In this context, she also references the trilogy for two pianos and electronics (GrauSchumacher Piano Dup / SWR Experimentalstudio 2014-2017) that has just been released on CD/Blu-ray. Furthermore, she discusses musical-performative concepts for a coexistence of dancers and musicians.
