Per Bloland compositeur

Dans le cadre des Résidences Recherche Musicale de l’Ircam Per Bloland, compositeur présente son projet de recherche.
Laureate of Ircam Research Residency Program, Per Bloland will present his project and works:

Abstract : Per Bloland will present a lecture on his recent compositional activities and research. Among the topics covered will be a discussion of his work with the Electromagnetically-Prepared Piano, a device that allows for direct control of piano strings through the use of an array of electromagnets. Bloland will describe his most recent piece to utilize the device, and explore the aesthetic implications of composing for hybrid acoustic/electronic instruments. He will also discuss his interdisciplinary research on connections between composition and literature, both in the abstract and in relationship to several of his own pieces. Finally, Bloland may or may not discuss his relationship with post-industrial noise music (though he will certainly play excerpts from his works that draw on this).
